Jim Fowler is Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Nationwide. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s technology strategy, IT capabilities and business transformation programs.
Prior to joining Nationwide in 2018, Jim was Chief Information Officer for General Electric, where he led the company’s global information technology strategy, services, operations and internal digital transformation program. Prior to his 18-year career at GE, he held IT roles with NCR and Accenture.
Jim holds a bachelor of science degree in management information systems and marketing from Miami University and a master of business administration degree from Xavier University. He is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Jim serves as a national board member for YearUp, on the business school advisory board at Miami University, on the Columbus State Community College board of trustees and on the Columbus Collaboratory board of managers. He is well recognized for his results-oriented leadership style and his ability to drive innovation—and was recently recognized by Forbes with the CIO Innovation Award.
Aarti Shah is senior vice president and chief information and digital officer of Eli Lilly and Company. She has responsibilities for global information technology, information security, advanced analytics and data sciences, and digital health.
A Lilly veteran for over 25 years, Aarti has served in several functional and business leadership roles. She joined Lilly in 1994 as a senior statistician and was promoted to research scientist in 1999. She became vice president for biometrics in 2009 and led three global functions: global statistical sciences, data sciences and solutions, and global scientific communications. In 2013, she was named global brand development leader in Lilly’s Bio-Medicines business unit. She was promoted to senior vice president and became chief information officer in 2016.
Aarti received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in statistics and mathematics in India before completing her Ph.D. in applied statistics from the University of California, Riverside.
Aarti serves on the board of Northwestern Mutual. She also serves on several nonprofit boards, including the Indiana India Business Council, the Center of Interfaith Cooperation, and Shrimad Rajchandra Love & Care USA. She served on the Indianapolis Public Library Foundation board for 9 years. In 2016, she was honored as a Woman of Influence by the Indianapolis Business Journal and was also named one of the Fierce Women in Biopharma by FiercePharma. In 2019, she was named one of the top four finalists for the 12th annual MIT Sloan CIO Leadership Award. She was named 2019 CTO of the Year (top honoree) by IBJ and TechPoint.
Kenneth S. Solon is executive vice president, chief information officer & head of digital for Lincoln Financial Group –and is a member of the company’s senior management committee. Solon is responsible for Lincoln’s enterprise-wide Information Technology and leads the company’s Digital strategy and execution. Previously, Solon served as Head of Shared Services and was responsible for Customer Service for Lincoln’s Individual Life, Individual Annuity and Retirement Plan Services business lines, Licensing,Commissions and Claims. Solon joined Lincoln in 2008 with extensive experience in domestic and global strategy formulation, planning and implementation, information systems and customer service. He spent the first 13 years of his career with Chase Manhattan Banking Corporation and the subsequent nine years with Prudential Financial Inc.While at Chase, he managed Operations and Information Technology functions domestically, as well as in Europe and Asia. At Prudential, Solon led the company’s Operations and Information Technology areas for the public conversion from a mutually held insurance company to a publicly traded organization, as well as leading the customer service area for Individual Life Insurance. In 2018, Solon was named CIO of the Year in the Enterprise category by Philadelphia Business Journal for demonstrating excellence in technology leadership. He serves as Advisory Board Chair for the Philadelphia CIO Leadership Association, is a member of the Philadelphia Innovation Advisory Council and serves on the Advisory Board for Teach for America of Greater Philadelphia.Solon received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware. He holds FINRA Series 6 and 26 Registrations.
Angela Yochem is EVP & Chief Digital and Technology Officer for Novant Health, a super-regional healthcare system with one of the largest medical groups in the US. She and her teams deliver the world-class consumer capabilities, differentiating technologies, and advanced clinical solutions that allow the high-growth system to provide remarkable patient care.
Angela has served as EVP/CIO at Rent-A-Center, Global CIO at BDP International, Global CTO at AstraZeneca, and divisional CIO at Dell. She’s held tech exec roles at Bank of America and SunTrust, and held senior technology roles at UPS and IBM. In these roles, she built B2B digital product lines, grew digital retail channels (B2C), created technical services lines of business, and transformed global technology capabilities.
Angela is an Independent Director with Zurich American Insurance Group, and has been a Director for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, BDP Transport, BDP Global Services Asia and Europe, and Rocana, with experience on Audit, Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, and Governance/Policy committees. She remains an Entrepreneur in Residence, Mentor, and Advisor for venture groups and incubators on both US coasts. Angela serves on the board of Freedom School Partners, a non-profit committed to promoting literacy in the Charlotte area, and co-chairs the executive team of the Go Red for Women Charlotte organization, part of the American Heart Association. She is a Trustee of the Charlotte Regional Business Initiative, and is an advisory board member for the American Hospital Association Innovation Council, the University of Tennessee Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department, and the University of North Carolina Charlotte College of Computing and Informatics.
Angela has a Bachelor of Music from DePauw University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee, holds three US Patents and is an author with Addison-Wesley and Prentice-Hall.
Mr. Khare joined Oshkosh Corporation, Inc. in April 2018 as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. He previously served as the Executive Director – Digital Technology at United Technologies Corporation, a global technology products and services company that serves the building systems and aerospace industries, from 2015 to April 2018. Prior to that, Mr. Khare served in positions of increasing responsibility at Koch Industries, Inc., a manufacturer of a wide variety of products, most recently as Global Technology Officer and Global Director Infrastructure Services from 2008 to 2015.
